The sport of Ninja Warrior obstacle course racing kicked off in Japan in 1997 when the
first ninja warrior course and TV show: Sasuke, was created. The objective was simple, 100 competitors attempt to complete a multi-stage obstacle course. The show gained traction worldwide and in 2009 the first Official American Ninja Warrior TV show aired.
Over the years to follow the release of the show, many other countries such as Indonesia, the UK, Australia, and Germany have also released their own adaptations of the show. The success of the TV show has also led to the rise of ninja warrior gyms opening up all over the world. Featuring obstacles seen on the TV show such as the salmon ladder, spider wall, wing nuts, tilted steps, and the warped wall.
Simply put ninja warrior is an intense form of obstacle racing where athletes race against the clock to complete a series of obstacles.
Today there are roughly 191 Ninja Gyms in the US and are estimated to be about 35-45 ninja gyms across Canada, with gyms rapidly popping up all over the country. Ninja warrior is quickly becoming very popular both recreationally and competitively. Ninja athletes all over the world strive to push the boundaries of the sport and challenge themselves to the fullest. With innovative new obstacles being created all the time, new gyms popping up all around the world, and new leagues there is no doubt that the sport will continue to grow across Canada. Ninja warrior is a great way to get active, learn new skills, make new friends and have fun.
We are a 1,600 sq ft open space filled with a mix of challenging and fun obstacles for all ages and skill levels.
We offer a small soft play area, balance and agility obstacles, a continuous rotation of hanging obstacles such as rings, ropes, zip lines, cones, monkey bars and more, and just like the TV show; warped walls.
